Samsung has released a new software update (XXUGNE5) for the Snapdragon variant of the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505). The update seems to be available in Germany for now and in addition to improving performance and battery life, Samsung has also added Kids Mode and KNOX 2.0, which were limited to Galaxy S4’s successor till now.
Kids Mode locks down the device to a restricted mode, giving access to the approved apps by the user. Furthermore, it also has a kid-friendly user interface. KNOX 2.0, on the other hand, is a major upgrade to the KNOX 1.0, making it a full secure solution for business users.
The update is available now in Germany via OTA or Kies.
