Similar to what Samsung did with the Galaxy S4, they’re preparing a number of devices that will be sold under the Galaxy S5 family. After the Galaxy S5 Active that got the official treatment a few days back, leaked images confirm the existence of Galaxy S5 mini – a slightly affordable variant of the flagship device with less powerful hardware.
The high-resolution set reveals the Galaxy S5 mini alongside the Galaxy S5 with some details on the hardware.
According to the report, the smaller-sized sibling will be powered by an unannounced Exynos 3 Quad processor clocked at 1.4GHz, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and a 4.5-inch HD 720p Super AMOLED Display. Furthermore, the phone will be IP67 certified, just like the Galaxy S5 and will have LTE, IR port for remote control, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS, 8 megapixel and 2 megapixel cameras, fingerprint scanner and heart rate sensor.
The Galaxy S5 mini will reportedly run Android 4.4.2 along with TouchWiz UI and software features like Ultra Power Saving Mode, Private Mode, Kids Mode and a few other things.
