Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A

As rumoured, Samsung has announced the more powerful version of the Galaxy S5 in South Korea. The Galaxy S5 LTE-A seems to be limited to South Korea for now and brings in meatier hardware than the original Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S5 LTE-A is powered by 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 processor that supports LTE speeds of up to 225Mbps.

The display has also got a bump and now sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with WQHD resolution support (2560×1440). Moreover, the display seems to be at par with the Galaxy Tab S with the 90% Adobe RGB colour coverage, 100,000:1 contrast ratio and very fast response time.

Rounding up the spec sheet are the 3GB RAM, IP67 certification for dust and water resistance, Android 4.4 KitKat, 16 megapixel main camera and 2 megapixel front-facing camera, fingerprint scanner, heart rate sensor, 2800mAh battery.

The phone will be available first through SKT for 940,500 won and will be gradually available to KT and LG U+ subscribers.

The Galaxy S5 LTE-A will come in colour choices of Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue, Copper Gold, Sweet Pink and Glam Red.
