As expected, Samsung has announced its latest Galaxy Tab S range in the Indian market. Both Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Galaxy Tab 8.4 will be available in India and it will be 3G variants only that will sell for Rs. 44,800 and Rs. 37,800 respectively. For the uninitiated, the Galaxy Tab S devices feature Samsung’s Super AMOLED display panel with a resolution support of 2560×1600 pixels (WQXGA) along with 90% of Adobe RGB color coverage, 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and two pre-set display modes – AMOLED Cinema and AMOLED Photo.
The tablets are powered by the Exynos 5 Octa processor and features Galaxy S5-like perforated back and fingerprint scanner. Moreover, the Galaxy Tab S devices feature Android 4.4 KitKat, 3G support, 3GB RAM, 8 megapixel main camera with 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, infrared port for universal remote control, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot supporting up to 128GB, 4900mAh battery (Galaxy Tab S 8.4) or 7900mAh battery (Galaxy Tab S 10.5) and software features like Ultra Power Saving Mode, Multi User Mode, Kids Mode, Call Forwarding via SideSync 3.0 and lots more.
