Samsung is expected to make a big splash in the virtual reality market when it comes with Gear VR headset later this year and now we’ve gotten a glimpse of how the device will function with the smartphone, thanks to an APK leak.
There’s no APK to download (yet!) but SamMobile who got their hands on the app has posted screenshots that reveals couple of VR-centric apps like VR Panorama and VR Cinema and shows off basic usage of the Gear VR.
Earlier reports suggest that Samsung is developing the Gear VR headset that will require a supported smartphone to take advantage of the virtual reality goodness. While the hardware is being designed by Samsung, the software part is said to be handled by Oculus Rift.
Samsung will purportedly announce Gear VR at the IFA 2014 alongside Galaxy Note 4.
