Samsung releases Smart Wireless Security AP

Samsung Smart Wireless Security AP

In a bid to protect wireless networks in an enterprise environment, Samsung has announced a Smart Wireless Security Access Point that helps businesses identify unauthorised intrusion in the wireless network.

The Samsung device supports 802.11ac and is equipped with wireless intrusion prevention solution (WIPS) sensor that helps to detect unauthorised connections to the network.

Detecting a network intrusion is crucial, which is why Samsung claims the device can detect any unauthorised intrusions within 10 seconds and tries to block within 30 seconds. Furthermore, businesses can save up to 50 percent in upgrading infrastructure as the same security features can be implemented at a lower cost.

The solution will be used at ITU Plenipotentiary Conference that will be held in October in Busan, Korea.
