It’s no secret that Samsung is working on a VR headset and today’s leaked image published by The Verge confirms Samsung’s accessory is closer than ever. According to the site, Samsung is looking to reveal the virtual reality headset at the Unpacked event on Sep 3, alongside the highly anticipated Galaxy Note 4.
The report says the project is called “Project Moonlight” internally but a recent leak of the companion app points Samsung will use the Gear VR name.
This accessory will require a user to place a supported Samsung phone in front of the lenses to take advantage of the virtual reality goodness and will also make use of a focus dial and a microUSB connection.
