Sprint’s Galaxy S4 has had Wi-Fi Calling since April and Sprint just confirmed that a new software update is being rolled out to the Galaxy S4 that will enable the Samsung device to use Wi-Fi network to call back to the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. The International Wi-Fi Calling feature will be supported by compatible devices (Galaxy S4 is the first one), which means a Sprint user can call back to his home country without having to incur expensive roaming charges as long as the call is connected through a wireless network.
Sprint plans to add International Wi-Fi calling to more devices throughout 2014.
