Samsung has announced yet another tablet but this time it’s targeted at professionals and businesses. Touted to be one of world’s slimmest rugged tablet around, the Galaxy Tab Active has an IP67 certification for water resistance and an anti-shock covering that can withstand a 1.2m drop. Samsung also provides Mobile Care Service that delivers an extended basic warranty period for up to three years which includes damage caused by accidents and remote Smart Tutor Service (remote service).
Hardware-wise, the mid-range tablet has an 8-inch display (1280×800), 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 3.1 megapixel camera with 1.2 megapixel on the front, C-Pen support and a removable 4,450mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active will come in Wi-Fi-only or LTE variants in Titanium Green with a protective cover and the C-Pen.
