Samsung NX1

Samsung has announced NX1 digital camera at its Premiere event at Photokina. Samsung claims the NX1 has been created from scratch, right from the imaging engine to the sensor and packs in some noteworthy features that pits it against the prevalent DSLRs.

The NX1 is built to last and features a magnesium alloy body for durability and can even withstand some amount of dust and water resistance. The camera also has an ergonomic design allowing users to maintain a tight hold while shooting and allows the use of a larger battery and easier vertical and horizontal shooting with the help of an addition Vertical Grip accessory.

The NX1 features an 28 megapixel APS-C CMOS Sensor with Back Side Illumination (BSI) support for better low light pictures and lower signal-to-noise ratio. The camera supports ISO sensitivity from 100 to 25600 and goes up to 51200 with extended ISO mode. Furthermore, the NX1 boasts DRIMe V Image Processor, NX AF (Auto Focus) System III with 205 Phase Detection AF points and fast 0.055 sec AF speed, 15 fps continuous shooting, XGA OLED EVF with 3-inch FVGA Super AMOLED display, 4K and UHD video recording support with inbuilt HEVC codec (H.265) compression and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Samsung also announced a new 50-150mm 2.8 S ED OIS, premium telephoto lens.
