Samsung’s Gear S standalone smartwatch will be available in the American market in the coming weeks. In a brief statement, Samsung has confirmed that the smartwatch will be available in the United States through AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless. Pricing and other information is kept under wraps but expect the watch to be selling in fall.
Samsung announced the Gear S at the IFA earlier this month that supports 3G and comes with a 2-inch curved AMOLED display (360×480). A 1GHz dual-core processor and 512MB RAM handles the Tizen OS duties and even comes with Bluetooth, GPS, 4GB internal memory, Heart-rate sensor, UV Sensor, Barometer, 300mAh battery and is IP67 certified to protect it from dust and water.
