Galaxy Alpha gets a teardown

October 2, 2014 By kunal Leave a Comment

Just like previous Samsung handsets, iFixit has put the Galaxy Alpha on the surgery table for a teardown. With a repairability score of 5 out of 10, the site found the phone uses an adhesive-laden opening procedure just like the Galaxy S5 that makes the phone a bit difficult to repair. To complicate things further, Samsung has integrated a 1.4mm thin display panel, which is an amazing feat from the technology standpoint but bad news for DIYers since anything other than the battery requires removing the display.
