Samsung’s Galaxy Tab Active goes for the enterprise crowd and what better platform than to announce the US availability at the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo 2014. Samsung is now accepting pre-orders of the rugged device that comes with an anti-shock protection that protects the 8-inch tablet from drops of up to 1.2m/4ft, IP67 certified for water and dust resistance and comes with a removable battery.
The Wi-Fi-only Galaxy Tab Active also features Citrix Ready and SAP-certified for SAP’s Work Manager and CRM Service Manager applications, KNOX support, NFC, 1280×800 display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 3.1 megapixel camera with 1.2 megapixel on the front and C-Pen support.
Samsung has not disclosed the price but will ship the tablet by end of this month.
