Intel-based Chromebook 2

Samsung may not be selling their notebooks in Europe but the company is very much alive in the American market. Earlier this week, Samsung announced an Intel processor powered Chromebook 2 in the US. The Chromebook 2 was available only with the Exynos 5 Octa processor until now but the new variant brings Intel’s Celeron N2840 CPU on-board that has a clock speed of up to 2.58GHz and 1MB L2 cache.

Additionally, the Chromebook 2 has an 11.6-inch 1366×768 display, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and battery life of up to 9 hours. The Chromebook also features the faux-leather design at the back and is supported by a strong metal frame for improved durability.

The Intel-based Chromebook 2 is now on pre-order for $249.99 and will be widely available from next week.
