Samsung has confirmed to launch its Galaxy Note Edge smartphone in its home market. The phone with an edge display will sell through SK Telecom and KT in Black and White for 1.06m Korean won.
Galaxy Note Edge is similar to the Galaxy Note 4 but the thing that sets it apart is the curved edged screen on the right that gives quick access to frequently accessed apps, notifications, camera shutter button, relay stock quotes and also features something called as Quick Tools that allows the edge screen to be used as a measure tape, stopwatch and more.
Hardware-wise, the Galaxy Note Edge comes with Snapdragon 805 2.7GHz quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 5.6-inch Quad HD+ resolution (2560×1440) Super AMOLED display and 160 pixel edge screen, S Pen input, 3000mAh battery, 16 megapixel camera, 3.7 megapixel front-facing camera, Multi Window, Ultra Power Saving Mode.
Samsung previously confirmed that Galaxy Note Edge availability will be restricted to few markets but it seems Samsung is willing to expand the base slowly and steadily. Japan, US and India are some of the other countries that will get the Galaxy Note Edge.
