Samsung is unveiling a lot of cool things at the Samsung Developers Conference in San Francisco but the coolest of all seems to be Project Beyond – world’s first 3D 360o omniview camera that will help harness virtual reality’s potential.
The camera captures and streams videos in high-resolution 3D, enabling users to experience as if they’re present at the location. This of course, will need a Gear VR and Samsung promises to make all the content shot through Beyond’s camera available to all Gear VR users.
As for going retail, Samsung hasn’t shared any details yet but did confirm that it won’t be up for sale “immediately” as this is just the first operational version of the device.
