Samsung introduces Tizen-powered Z1 in India

Samsung’s Z may not have seen the day but Z1 has as Samsung India took the stage to unveil the world’s first Tizen-powered device. The phone is now up for sale for Rs. 5,700 that is touted to be tailored for Indian audiences with localised apps. Codenamed Kiran (means hope in Hindi), the Samsung Z1 is built on “lightweight Tizen platform” and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 768MB RAM and 4GB internal memory.

As far as other features are concerned, the Z1 supports dual SIM support, 4-inch WVGA PLS display, 3.1 megapixel main camera resolution with front-facing VGA, Ultra Power Saving Mode, Private Mode, Security and 1500mAh battery.

The phone will be available in White, Black and Wine Red colours.
