Hate it or like it but TouchWiz is one of the differentiators when it comes to Samsung smartphones and though the user interface is here to stay, SamMobiles reports some of the features baked in the Samsung ROM will be spun off as separate apps. This if true, is good news for users who blame the TouchWiz UI for slower performance the due to some unwanted apps and features.
Samsung actually started making some of the apps downloadable from the Play Store or Galaxy Apps since last year and it makes sense, considering Samsung is able to issue updates quickly to individual apps and features without having the need to release a new software update for the device.
We’re not sure how Samsung is planning to handle it but one thing’s for certain that this workaround will make its way to Samsung’s Galaxy S6.
Samsung is expected to announce the next Galaxy flagship next month or early March right before Mobile World Congress.
