Samsung seems to be preparing an active variant of its Galaxy S6 smartphone. A leaked image by GSM Arena shows a Galaxy S6 Active for AT&T (SM-G890A) in the wild that forgoes the premium looking glass and metal body for a rugged shell protected by plastic and silicone.
Additionally, as evident from the image, the Galaxy S6 Active will have physical home, back and app switcher buttons and a heart rate sensor.
Under the hood, everything is expected to be the same except for the battery, which will most likely be at 3500mAh battery unlike Galaxy S6’s modest 2600mAh capacity.
