Just after a week after the official unveiling of the Galaxy S6 edge+, Samsung has announced the phone for the Indian market. Indian consumers will get their hands on the device next week on August 28 for Rs. 57,900.
The Galaxy S6 edge+ is more or less similar to the Galaxy S6 edge but comes with a larger display and improved edge display features.
The phone runs Android 5.1 and is powered by Samsung’s 14nm 64-bit Exynos octa-core processor, 4GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. There’s no memory expansion slot.
Other features include a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen (2560×1440) with dual edge displays, 16 megapixel rear-facing camera, 5 megapixel front-facing camera, 4K UHD video recording support, live broadcasting support through YouTube Live, fingerprint sensor and a heart rate sensor.
The phone also has an improved People edge for easier access to preferred contacts and Apps edge for favourite apps.
