Samsung and Barnes & Noble have extended their existing partnership by introducing the all new Galaxy Tab E NOOK. The tablet combines the hardware of Samsung’s tablet and NOOK’s reading and entertainment app to provide an improved experience.

The Galaxy Tab E NOOK features a non-slip, fabric-like material cover at the back for a secure and a comfortable grip and a large 9.6-inch display, which Samsung and B&N believes improves the experience to read book, magazines and newspapers. It also comes with NOOK Profiles that allows to personalise and customise the tablet layout according to different people in the family.

Additionally, the Galaxy Tab E NOOK comes wih Samsung’s Multi-Window feature that allows users to run two apps simultaneously, a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera, 2 megapixel on the front, 16GB internal memory and microSD card slot supporting up to 128GB.

On the software side, the tablet will have access to NOOK’s store that offers over 4 million books, large collection of magazine, apps and even videos that can be purchased or rented.

B&N will also hook up Galaxy Tab E NOOK users with free content, including three books from a selection of 20, three magazines and a $5 credit.

The tablet is now available in B&N stores and at nook.com for $249.99 with a special trade-in program running till November 7.
