Samsung’s only Tizen smartphone has now got a companion. At an event in India today, Samsung revealed the Z3. While Samsung has conveniently skipped the Z2, the Z3 is a good step up from the entry-level Z1 smartphone. The phone does not support 4G but brings in a larger 5-inch Super AMOLED HD (720p) display and is powered by Spreadtrum’s 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM.
The camera on the Z3 is 8 megapixel while the front is a 5 megapixel one with a 120-degree capture for wide angle selfie. The phone is equipped with the My Galaxy app, which is Samsung’s latest attempt to offer deals, support and Samsung specials. However, the most interesting thing is the integration of MixRadio app, which give access to 30 million soundtracks for free.
Additionally, the Z3 features Ultra Data Saving and Ultra Power Saving Mode, themes support, 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot supporting up to 128GB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS+GLONASS and 2600mAh battery.
The phone will sell in Samsung stores and Snapdeal from October 21 at a price of Rs. 8,490. Users will also get free data from Vodafone for first two months.
