Samsung has announced its recently announced Galaxy On series for the Indian market. The company will sell the Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 that will go on sale from midnight tonight exclusively through online retailer, Flipkart.
In terms of design, both devices look the same as most other low-end and mid-range Samsung devices and understandably so, as Samsung is pitching them more as utilitarian than something eye pleasing to look at.
Priced at Rs. 8,990, the Galaxy On5 comes with a 5-inch HD display, 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor, 1.5GB RAM, Dual SIM with 4G LTE support, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera, 5 megapixel front camera and 2600mAh battery. It also comes with 8GB internal storage that can be expanded to up to 128GB with microSD card.
As for the Galaxy On7, the phone is priced at Rs. 10,990 and features 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 5.5-inch HD display, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 13 megapixel main camera and 5 megapixel on the front, 4G LTE support and 3000mAh battery.
Both phones run Android 5.1 and feature Ultra Data Saving (UDS) mode that compresses outgoing traffic to save some data and MixRadio that gives access to millions of songs for free.
