Samsung today announced the updated Galaxy A range of smartphones. The 2016 range consists of Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and the Galaxy A7 offering consumers improved performance, design and three screen size options.
The Galaxy A3 (2016) is the base device from the Galaxy A range that features a 4.7-inch HD 1280×720 Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM and 2300mAh battery. Moreover, the phone comes with a 13 megapixel main camera, 5 megapixel front-facing camera, KNOX support, 16GB internal storage and microSD card slot.
Galaxy A5 (2016) ups the ante with LTE Cat. 6, 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 1.6GHz octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 13 megapixel rear-facing camera, 5 megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB internal memory and microSD card slot. Additionally, the phone has a fingerprint sensor, 2900mAh battery with fast-charging support and MST technology for Samsung Pay.
The Galaxy A7 (2016) enhances the display to 5.5-inches with Full HD Super AMOLED display, 3GB RAM, f1.9 13 megapixel and 5 megapixel cameras, 16GB storage, microSD card slot, fingerprint sensor, Samsung Pay support and 3300mAh battery with fast charging.
All phones run Android 5.1 and features a combination of metal and glass design with narrower bezel.
The phone will first sell in China from mid-December and will be rolled out to other regions in the coming weeks.
