Samsung to announce a new soundbar with Dolby Atmos

January 4, 2016 By Siddhanth Leave a Comment

Samsung HW-K950

Samsung is going all guns blazing this CES. In addition to teasing TV and VR, Samsung has confirmed a new product in its audio range. They will showcase HW-K950 soundbar, making it the first soundbar from Samsung to feature Dolby’s Atmos technology.

While Dolby Atmos as a feature is not new in home audio systems, Samsung’s soundbar will actually be the first one to include two Dolby Atmos-enabled wireless rear speakers, capable of delivering 5.1 4-channel sound.

The sounbar has three forward-facing and two upwards-facing speakers for an immersive experience and connects to the subwoofer and rear speaker unit wirelessly.
