An image added on Venture Beat suggests that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge phones will look strikingly similar to the previous generation. If true, this wouldn’t be a surprise because Galaxy S6 family is one of the good designs to come out of Samsung’s stable. However, Samsung is expected to add a few more things that were evidently missing in the last year’s flagship models.

The phones are expected to have microSD card slot, which was one of the loved features in the Galaxy S series but Samsung dropped it in the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge models. Additionally, the phones will also gain IP67 certification for water and dust resistance. In terms of other features, the devices are expected to have a QHD Super AMOLED display, larger battery capacity, 4GB RAM, Exynos 8890 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and interestingly, a 12 megapixel camera.
