Samsung from time to time brings out concepts that tries to address a real world issue. Take the Samsung Smart Windshield for example. Considering how 25 percent of motorcycle accidents in Italy involve smartphones, Samsung has created a Smart Windshield concept wherein all the smartphone notifications are displayed in a small HUD-like display in the front of the bike. The windshield pairs up with the smartphone wirelessly and shows call or SMS notifications, incoming emails, messages and more.
While the idea is interesting, I’m not sure how it solves the purpose because to see the incoming notification, the motorcyclist will have to take their eyes off the road to read the incoming notification.
