As we had reported earlier, Samsung India has announced the 2016 edition of the J3 smartphone with a mode dedicated to all the bikers. The new J3 comes with what is called as S Bike mode, which on activating through NFC (one NFC tag can be placed on the bike) will inform the caller that the user is riding the bike and will only divert the call to the user if the caller presses the required button emphasizing urgency. There’s also motion lock that won’t allow users to pick up the phone until the bike comes to a complete stop.
In terms of the phone, J3 features 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM and has a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display. The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and features 8GB internal memory, 8 megapixel camera, 5 megapixel front-facing camera, dual-SIM support and 2600mAh battery.
Vodafone users will get double the data for a period of 6 months in 4G-enabled circles or 2 months in non-4G circles.
The phone is priced at Rs. 8,990 and will sell on Snapdeal in colour options of gold, black and white.
