If you felt having 200GB of data on your nail-sized microSD card is an overkill, Samsung has upped the ante with its latest EVO Plus 256GB card. Samsung says the card is apt for mobile devices, 360-degree video recorders, action cameras, drones and allows consumers to record up to 12 hours of 4K UHD video or 33 hours of Full HD video.
The card makes use of Samsung’s V-NAND technology and boasts a read and a write speed of up to 95MB/s and 90MB/s respectively.
Furthermore, the card is waterproof (IEC 60529, IPX7), X-ray-proof, magnetic-proof and temperature-proof.
The card will sell from next month in more than 50 countries at a price of $249.99 and a 10-year warranty.
