Samsung Pay comes to Australia

June 15, 2016 By Siddhanth Leave a Comment

Samsung Pay

Australia is the latest country to get Samsung Pay, the company today confirmed. Users with a compatible Samsung phone – Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge can use their device to transact online or at regular NFC-enabled POS.

The current launch partners for Samsung Pay include American Express and Citibank and is working to expand the ecosystem by supporting more banks and retailers.

Australia is the fifth country to get Samsung Pay and though there’s no word on the Indian launch, Samsung has shown some interest to launch Pay in the future.
