While selling unlocked phones might be a normal practice in many Asian and European countries but US is still largely dominated with carrier-locked phones. Samsung is however, trying to improve the situation by offering the unlocked version of Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 edge that is compatible with most US-based GSM and CDMA carriers.
The unlocked devices are available now on Samsung.com, Amazon and various other retailers and distributors.
Understandably, the phones are still the same, carrier-locked or not. You’ll still get the impressive camera, QHD display, Snapdragon 820 processor, all-day battery life, wireless charging support and more.
The Galaxy S7 is priced at $669.99 and Galaxy S7 edge at $769.99.
