Microsoft has confirmed that its Xbox Wireless Controller will soon be compatible with controller-enabled games on Samsung’s Gear VR. The first game to support it is Minecraft: Gear VR Edition and fans attending Minecon will be the first ones to experience it.
Microsoft says an update to the game will be released in October, following which, users will be able to use the Xbox wireless controller with the game and Gear VR accessory. Microsoft is also working to add Xbox controller support to other controller-enabled games on Gear VR.
The initial lot of supported phones are Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.
