Brace yourself! This is probably the biggest scoop we’ve seen since Galaxy S8 rumours started floating. This is how the upcoming Galaxy S8 will look. Now read on for the meaty details.
According to a report on Venture Beat, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S phone will ditch the flat form factor and will instead adopt curved edge displays for both its variant which will have a display size of 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch. The report also sheds some details on the other aspect of the phone.
Just like the Galaxy S7 series, the Galaxy S8 will also sell either with Snapdragon (835) and Samsung Exynos processor along with 4GB RAM. Camera on the front will be bumped to 8 megapixel whereas the back will stay at 12 megapixel. Moreover, the battery will stay at 3000mAh and 3500mAh respectively with 64GB of built-in storage and expandable through microSD.
Since there won’t be any home button on the front, the fingerprint sensor will be shifted at the back (which is an odd location, to be honest) and will have USB Type-C and 3.5mm headphone jack. There will also be a Microsoft Continuum-like feature called Samsung DeX and its own assistant called Bixby.
As for the launch, Samsung has already confirmed that they won’t show off the device at the upcoming Mobile World Congress. But the report suggests, Samsung will unveil it on March 29 in New York with the phone going on sale on April 21 in Europe.
