Samsung announced the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ earlier this week and the company has confirmed the pricing and availability of the new smartphones and accessories for the Nordic countries. If you reside in Denmark, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are already on pre-order with the release date slated for April 28. The Galaxy S8 is priced at 6,199 Danish Krone whereas the Galaxy S8+ is priced at 6,999 Danish Krone in colour options of Orchid Gray, Arctic Silver, Midnight Black and limited online availability of Coral Blue. The new Gear VR with controller, Samsung DeX and new Gear 360 will be available later this year.
Finnish consumers will also get the devices from April 28 in Orchid Gray, Arctic Silver, Midnight Black at a recommended price of 829 euros for the Galaxy S8 and 929 euros for the Galaxy S8+. The Samsung DeX is priced at 149 euros whereas the Gear 360 camera is priced at 249 euros.
Norwegians can pre-order right now for a slated release on April 28. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are priced at 7,590 and 8,490 Norwegian Krone respectively. Colour options remain the same as Danish consumers with limited online availability of the Coral Blue variant.
The phones will release on April 28 as well in Sweden and carry a price tag of 7,990 Swedish Krona for the Galaxy S8 and 8,990 Swedish Krone for the Galaxy S8+. Gear VR with Controller is priced at 1490 SEK, DeX at 1490 SEK and Gear 360 at 2,490 SEK.
To regurgitate, both phones come with a Quad HD+ (2960×1440) Super AMOLED Infinity Display with Galaxy S8 featuring a 5.8-inch screen and Galaxy S8+ having a 6.2-inch screen. They are powered by a 10nm octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB of storage and microSD card slot supporting up to 256GB.
Furthermore, the Galaxy S8 duo feature a 12-megapixel f/1.7 sensor on the back with OIS and 4K video recording support and an upgraded 8-megapixel sensor on the front with f/1.7 aperture, IP68 certified that make it water (up to 30 mins for up to 1.5 meters) and dust resistant, 3.5mm headphone jack and a 3000mAh/3500mAh (Galaxy S8/Galaxy S8+) with USB Type-C support, Bixby virtual assistant, and wireless charging.
