Samsung has confirmed a new software update will solve the red tint issue that handful of users are facing with the Galaxy S8 series. In a statement issued to Wall Street Journal, Samsung confirmed the update will add “a further enhanced ability to adjust the colour setting to their preference”. In other words, Samsung seems to be enhancing the option where it allowed the user to tweak the colour temperature.
Earlier this month, few users reported having a “reddish” display compared to other units, which Samsung dismissed initially.
Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ phones have gone on sale in few countries and will go on sale in most of them by next month, including India.

One of the drawbacks of OLED displays. The problem is if you get one with a gradient which can’t be adjusted out with a static adjustment. I had to return 2 Nokia Lumia Icons and a Nexus 6P for this issue.
Looking quickly, I think the right one does have less tint in the bottom area.
Just poor QC on the part of Samsung really. I am hopeful you will see better out of Apple if they are indeed using OLED in the iPhone 8.
