Samsung has upgraded its external T3 SSD with the new T5 portable SSD. The T5 takes advantage of Samsung’s 64-layer V-NAND technology that enables faster transfer speeds and encryption in a compact design, which is smaller than an average business card at 74×57.3×10.5mm and weighs just 51g.
The storage starts from 250GB and goes up to 2TB and boasts a transfer speed of up to 540MB/s, which in comparison to an external HDD is 4.9 times faster.
Furthermore, T5 can withstand accidental drops of up to 2 meters, supports AES 256-bit hardware data encryption and Android app support. The drive also comes with two connection cables – USB-C to C and USB-C to A for better compatibility.
The T5 starts from $129.99 for 250GB and comes in Deep Black (1TB and 2TB models) and Alluring Blue (250GB and 500GB models) finishes.

As this article is telling us that SSD will be able to transfer data at a rate of 540Mb/s, if it is true in real life then it is really astonishing. I read first time about this rate of data transfer speed. The price of 2TB as I assume will be very high. There are also many other options available out there in market like wondercube which is available at reasonable price and is 9-to-1 package. Thanks
