It’s the year of 8K and AI it seems. Now Samsung has confirmed that they have an 8K QLED TV to show to all the attendees at CES. The new TV not only offers 8K resolution playback, which is four times the resolution of 4K TVs but it’s the artificial intelligence (AI) that Samsung believes will help enhance the overall viewing experience.
The TV features AI high-definition conversion technology that converts low-quality images into high-quality ones, which is achieved after analysing millions of frames and correcting the optimum brightness, colours, noise and edges.
The AI also analyses video scenes for an improved audio. For instance, while watching sports, the TV will enhance the background noise for an immersive experience.
Samsung will showcase an 85-inch TV at CES this week and expects to launch commercially in the second half of 2018 in sizes of 65-inch and above.
