Better late than never, Samsung today rolled out the much awaited Oreo update to its phablet Note8, although late. Along with the Oreo update, Samsung also is updating the the Samsung Experience to version 9.0. This update also brings in new emojis, stickers and support for dual apps. Most importantly the Android Security update patch is bumped to March with this.
Some of the other improvements with this update are:
– Improved font size, color and other settings for better Edge panel visibility
– Added 3 more Edge lighting effects and color customization for apps
– Use of biometrics without a secure screen lock type
– New clock styles for the Lock screen and Always on Display
– Store any type of file in the Samsung Cloud drive
– Install second copy of messaging app for two accounts
– Dual Messenger
– Lock Samsung Pass using Find My Mobile
– Samsung Dex now supports multiple resolutions (HD+/FHD/WQHD)
– Bluetooth now supports high quality audio codecs, including AAC and Sony LDAC
– Video player includes Auto repeat and 2X play option
