Samsung India has announced the upcoming smartphone in the Infinity series, the Galaxy J8. The phone is made up of polycarbonate unibody and has a 6-inch HD+ super AMOLED Infinity display. The phone will feature 4GB RAM and 64GB storage (expandable up to 256GB). Powering the phone is the Snapdradon 450 processor.
In terms of cameras, the J8 will feature dual rear cameras of 16-megapixel with f/1.7 aperture and 5-megapixel with f/1.9 aperture. The front camera is a 16-megapixel with f/1.9. Camera also gets the artificial intelligence that allows users to experiment with the foreground and background of an image. The dual camera delivers Samsung’s flagship ‘Live Focus’ feature where users can bring sharp focus to the foreground while blurring out the background. Users can adjust the level of background blur both before and after clicking a shot.
The J8 runs on Android Oreo 8.0 operating system and features 3,500 mAh battery. Galaxy J8 is priced at Rs. 18,990 and will be available from 28th June 2018 onwards. The devices will be available across retail outlets and online through Samsung’s e-shop and Paytm, Flipkart and Amazon in Blue, Black and Gold colors. Consumers buying Galaxy J8 through ICICI Bank credit and debit cards or Paytm Mall will get an additional cash back of Rs. 2,000. Moreover, all consumers activating their Galaxy J8 on or before 31st July 2018 can also avail a One Time Screen Replacement.
