As we had mentioned a few days back, Samsung has made the Galaxy A8 Star official in India. The phone will be available from 27th August 2018 on Amazon India for Rs. 34,990. To recap the specifications, the Galaxy A8 Star will feature 6.3-inch full HD+ Infinity display. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 660 processor, 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. There are dual rear cameras, 16-megapixel and 24-megapixel labelled as Dual Intellicam and Samsung mentions that the cameras can capture brilliant photos in any lighting conditions. The front 24-megapixel camera has beauty mode and Pro lighting for selfies.
The battery is rated at 3700mAh and the phone also features finger-print sensor and face unlock. It also has Samsung Pay and Bixby. The pricing of the phone seems to be on the higher side with OnePlus 6, Asus ZenFone 5Z and the most recently launched POCO F1 provide Snapdragon flagship 845 processor. Much like other phones, the fate of the Galaxy A8 Star rides on the Samsung brand name for this asking price.
