Samsung has announced a new upgraded Mixed Reality headset – HMD Odyssey+. The new headset features anti-screen door effect (Anti-SDE) that solves the issue “where fine lines separating pixels [would] become visible in some displays” and thus resulted in dizziness or nausea.
With Anti-SDE and dual 3.5-inch AMOLED high-resolution displays (1440×1600 per eye), the device creates a perceived pixel density of 1,233 ppi for an improved immersive experience.
The new HMD Odyssey+ is just 590g that comes with AKG’s audio with 360-degree spatial sound support, 6DOF controller, adjustable headband and a 110-degree FOV.
The Samsung HMD Odyssey+ is now available in the US and will soon be available in South Korea, China, Hong Kong and Brazil.
