There’s no denying that Samsung has been working its smartphone with foldable display for quite some time and while they’ve hinted in the past for a November reveal, a Reuters report claims that the reveal will be on the software side and some possible images of the hardware design.
While we’re not sure if Samsung is ready to unveil the design of its very first foldable phone but showing off some software elements makes perfect sense as it will help them gauge developers’ interest to develop apps for the new user experience at the Samsung Developers Conference.
As for the final hardware, we don’t expect Samsung to make it official anytime before CES or MWC early next year.
Samsung has been drumming up its foldable smartphone concept and while they were one of the first ones to work on them, they’re not the first one to announce a foldable smartphone in the market.
Royole, a Chinese company recently announced their new foldable phone with a 7.8-inch display and a $1300 price tag.
