Samsung announced two new tablets, the Galaxy Tab S5e, and the Galaxy Tab A 10.1. Both these tablets run on Android Pie. The Galaxy Tab S5e features a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 16:10 screen ratio. The Tab is powered by Snapdragon 670 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Tab S5e also features Dolby Atmos integration with sound by AKG. Galaxy Tab S5e comes with a quick-charging 7,040mAh battery life.
In terms of camera, the rear camera is 13-megapixel and the front camera is 5-megapixel. The Galaxy Tab S5e’s Call-Message Continuity feature allows users to answer a call or reply to a message directly from their tablet to enhance communication—even when the phone is left at home. Galaxy Tab S5e comes with the Family Share feature that allows users to add the Samsung accounts of their family members to a Family Group and share photos, events, and notes effortlessly with each other. For security, the Tab S5e features a fingerprint sensor, one can also use Face recognition to unlock the device.
One of the highlights of the Tab 5Se is that it supports Samsung DeX mode. You can also connect to the POGO keyboard that is sold separately to be used with the tablet.
GALAXY TAB A 10.1
Galaxy Tab A 10.1 features a metal unibody design with 10.1-inch Full HD corner-to-corner display. The tablet is powered by Samsung Exynos7904 processor, 2GB RAM and comes with 32Gb of internal storage (supports 512GB of storage via microSD card). The rear camera is 8-megapixel and the front camera is 5-megapixel. Galaxy Tab A 10.1 features Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound and enhanced dual stereo speakers. Galaxy Tab A 10.1 comes with a 6,150mAh battery.
Galaxy Tab A 10.1 is also packed with Kids Home, helping children develop their creativity and imagination. Parents can easily launch Kids Home on the Quick Panel and set up children’s playtime, allowed apps and media. Galaxy Tab A 10.1 comes bundled with a range of Lego game content and native apps like My Art Studio, Crocro Adventure, etc. The new Galaxy Tab A 10.1 ensures that users can monitor kids’ screen time and what they access. It also enables users to protect their children from accessing potentially harmful content. The Parental Control feature lets the users set time limits for children’s use of the device.
Both Galaxy Tab S5e and Galaxy Tab A10.1 come in three colours – Silver, Black and Gold. The Wi-Fi-only variant of Galaxy Tab S5e is priced at Rs. 35,999, while the Wi-Fi +LTE variant is priced at Rs. 39,999. Galaxy Tab S5e will go on sale from today across all leading retail stores, Samsung e-Shop, and Samsung Opera House.
Galaxy Tab S5e’s Wi-Fi variant will also be available on Amazon.in, while the Wi-Fi +LTE variant will also be available on Flipkart. Galaxy Tab A 10.1’s Wi-Fi variant is priced at Rs. 14,999, while the Wi-Fi +LTE variant is priced at Rs. 19,999. Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (Wi-Fi only) will be available for only on Amazon.in and Samsung e-Shop starting June 26. Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (Wi-Fi + LTE) will be available across all leading retail stores, Samsung e-Shop and Samsung Opera House starting July 1.
