Samsung ranks first in the world of gaming monitors. This is according to the market research firm IDC. With a share of 17.9% market share, up 5.0 percent from the same period last year, Samsung ranked first in the global gaming monitor (scanning rate above 100Hz).
Samsung leads the high-definition (QHD, 2560 × 1440 and above) and curved gaming monitor categories by nearly twice the gap with the second place with more than 30% market share in the first half of this year.
Recently, as the resolution of game contents increases, the demand for high-performance monitors is steadily increasing. Curved monitors, which have an immersive view of wide screens, have become an essential consideration item among gamers when purchasing products.
According to market research firm IDC, the gaming monitor market was about 5 million units in 2018 but is expected to more than double to 20 million units by 2023.
