Expanded SmartThings Energy service can help reduce bills

November 12, 2021 By kunal Leave a Comment

SmartThings Energy

Samsung introduced SmartThings Energy in July and now they are introducing new features that will help users to save on their monthly energy bills. The partnership with players like Copper Labs, Eyedro, and Wattbuy allows the service for whole energy home monitoring and energy switching.

For instance, Copper Labs’ wireless real-time energy monitoring gives users the required data to optimise their energy consumption and if needed, enable them to set up automation whereas Eyedro energy monitors measure energy consumption from the energy meter that lets the user see the consumption from high-energy consuming devices like the HVAC systems, pool pumps, and water heaters. The partnership with WattBuy allows users to get personalised recommendations and an option to switch to a renewable source. In short, SmartThings Energy now not only lets the user see their consumption but also allows them to act on it, effectively reducing their monthly expense and carbon footprint.

SmartThings Energy is currently available in South Korea, the US, UK and India and will support ‘Works with SmartThings’ (WWST) OEM smart meters and 2022 Samsung appliances.
