Samsung last year managed to develop a 7-inch AMOLED display and it seems its Mobile Display unit will up the ante by producing a new 7-inch AMOLED display with higher resolution. According to an article on Daum, Samsung Mobile Display will develop a display with a resolution of 1024×768 as compared to previous AMOLED’s resolution of 1024×600. Oled-Display also speculates Samsung could upgrade the display tech to Super AMOLED Plus.
Despite the possible upgrade don’t expect an AMOLED-equipped tablet anytime soon as Samsung had confirmed to not launch any tablet with AMOLED screen this year.
