Australian court reverses Galaxy Tab 10.1 ban; Apple files motion to ban Galaxy Tab 10.1N

November 30, 2011 By kunal Leave a Comment

Australian court today sided with Samsung as they reversed the Galaxy Tab 10.1 ban in Australia. Although an important decision for Samsung, the Korean giant cannot launch or market the tablet yet as the court granted Apple a stay on the decision until Friday afternoon.

Reuters says the stay on the lifting of the ban could give Apple lawyers some time to file an appeal against the decision.

Meanwhile in Germany, Apple has filed a motion to stop the sales of the modified Galaxy Tab 10.1 aka Galaxy Tab 10.1N. Apple wants an injunction against the new tablet, for which the court will hear the matter on December 22.

Samsung has confirmed that this motion won’t have any effect on the sales and distribution of the tablet.
