Samsung E6 e-book reader will come to US

Samsung will soon launch its first e-book reader in the US market. It will be a 6-inch reader that was first showed at the CES early this year. Samsung says the prominent feature their e-book reader has is the 6-inch E-ink display supporting inputs from an electromagnetic resonance (EMR) stylus pen. The EMR pen enables users to take notes, adds annotations etc. Additionally, you’d find a journal, scheduler with Outlook sync support, Bluetooth 2.0, 2GB internal memory with microSD card slot, ePUB/PDF/TXT support, MP3 player, text-to-speech, Emolink technology and Wi-Fi.

To sell their readers in US, Samsung has tied up with Barnes & Noble who’ll sell the digital content. Just like Nook, E6 also supports LendMe technology that allows users to lend ebooks to their friends free of charge for 14 days.

E6 is expected to release in Spring for $299.
