Microsoft will be unveiling Windows Phone 7 devices today but Samsung has already made its first phone based on the new OS official. As rumored, the phone is known as Omnia 7 (GT-I8700).
Omnia 7 has an impressive spec sheet but interestingly, it is powered by 1GHz Qualcomm’s QSD8250 processor instead of Samsung’s Hummingbird. Furthermore, the phone has HSPA, 4-inch Super AMOLED WVGA display, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi 802.11n, 5MP autofocus camera with LED flash, 720p HD video recording, 8GB internal memory, FM Radio with RDS, A-GPS and 1500mAh battery.
The phone also features Metro UI and Windows Phone Hubs that helps to organize information and tasks.
UPDATE: Omnia 7 will be released in Europe first on October 21.

I think The Design Is Good But I wish That Samsung Start To Give us Some New Ideas About Mobile Phones Shapes More Than Give Many Same Shapes Models.

Hey look it’s almost the same phone(hardware wise) as my Vibrant. Pretty cool. Sort of want. I need to see Microsoft patch in some multi-functioning before I’d switch camps.

It’s utterly reprehensible that all my Windows Mobile 6.+ applications will not work on this device. Just how difficult would it have been to design the device to be able to run them on Windows Phone7 without compromising the new functions.
It’s a joke. They just want you to spend more of your hard earned money buying new applications.
Shame on them.
