While most of us expected Google TV announcement would come at BK Yoon’s keynote, Samsung has announced its first products supporting the Google TV platform without any hoopla. The companion box and Blu-ray player is on showcase at the CES and is expected to reach the retail market in first half of this year. In addition to bringing all the Android goodness, the Blu-ray player also allows consumers to watch 3D content.
GoogleTV is amazing. I am excited that more and more products are being accepted and integrated with it. As a DISH Network employee I recently added it to my home system and will never look back. This technology gives me the freedom to turn my TV into my new Computer station. No more looking at hit movies on a 12″ laptop screen.
